Terry Richardson, Autoportraits

selezneva richarson 03 Terry Richardson, Autoportraits

Terry Richardson, the iconic naughty boy photographer from NY has gone back to his creatively sleazy roots after a while of being sensible, for this watch spread with Anna Selezneva for Vogue Homme International, titled ‘AutoPortraits’. This has to be some of his best work in a while.

Check out the whole shoot after the jump.

Libertine SS09

5schoolboy Libertine SS09

It looks like NY based Libertine have looked to public schoolboys for their SS09 collection. There’s a lot of fine details on most of the garments such as the lapel detailing above, which for me really pulls the collection as a whole together.

SS09 is way stronger than their AW09 (check that out at mens.style) which I wasn’t too keen on apart from the odd piece.

More of the collection below.

Mercibeaucoup Japan: AW09

mercibeaucoup 0910aw 24 thumb 467xauto 8588 Mercibeaucoup Japan: AW09

The Japanese brand, Mercibeaucoup recently revealed their AW09 collection. You can certainly tell this is going to go down well in Japan, check out any of the JP streetwear blogs and you see these kind of ideas all over the place. The collection on a whole is great, although I couldn’t seriously imagine wearing more than one piece at a time.

It would be nice to see more of these concepts with UK designers. I love that whole organized chaos thing.

Christopher Lee Sauvé; Spring shoot

Layout 1

Christopher Lee Sauvé, the New York based artist recently had a photo shoot for his Spring range. He’s currently most known for his ‘Save Anna’ shirt after the whole thing last year about the possibility of Anna Wintour being replaced at American Vogue.

Out of the whole current collection, I don’t think there’s one T-Shirt that I wouldn’t wear.

Available directly from  the Sauvé online store. More of the collection after the jump.

FASHION EAST: Katie Eary

katie2 FASHION EAST: Katie Eary

Katie Eary is a 25 year old Royal College of Art MA graduate currently based in London. She had an installation at Fashion East last month along with Jaiden rVa James and Sibling.

Her graduate collection last year had the same military feel, this time around it’s more about British royal wear. Being a big fan of military clothing myself, this collection pretty much suits me perfectly. It sorta reminds me of a Gareth Pugh collection from a few years ago, the one where he had the black pointed head pieces.

Check out the video of the collection below:

Photo above from Dazed Digital, there doesn’t seem to be any photos of the collection around. Dazed have a good interview with her too, check that out.

Illionaire AW 09

picture 10 Illionaire AW 09

Illionaire are another Australian based label by the designers Ben Woodcock and Kat Grace. Apart from having some amazing product photography, they also pull of a fine collection of Mens and Womenswear. I especially love the fitted mens suit pants, very nice.

I can see various elements of the different era’s coming through in this collection. Overall it pulls of the general 80’s vibe yet there are various edwardian-ish and 50’s themes such as the button placement on the pants and the general cut of the dresses.

Illionaire are doing a good job at breaking into the international market too. Available in Paris, Japan, London & Tokyo.

TV Melbourne AW 09

tv aw09 TV Melbourne AW 09

For some reason, Australia never comes to mind when you hear the words ‘fashion’ and ‘designer’ in the same sentence. For me It’s usually cricket and Steve Irwin that I think of. But Melbourne based Label ‘TV‘ have certainly lead me to change my narrow minded thoughts on Australian designers. I ended up finding loads of amazing indie labels after a good hunt around on the internet.

So anyway, TV recently released their AW/09 collection. I love how it all looks slightly mismatched, yet it still keeps itself together through a subtle underlying colour theme and leopard print patterns.

Full stockist information at their website. View the full collection after the jump.

Long Clothing

long clothing Long Clothing

Long Clothing are a newly launched unisex T-shirt label from East London with one basic concept; Long T-shirts with a skinny fit that can also be worn as dresses.

The prints are purposely simple to give more emphasis on the cut of the T-shirt, which for me works perfectly. Personally, I’d well rather wear something like this over any 2000 colour clever illustration from somewhere like Threadless.

Purchase at the Long online store, prices from around £20. Check out the collection after the jump.

Emilia Bairamova: Prozac Nation

emilia bairamova Emilia Bairamova: Prozac Nation

Emilia Bairamova is a Knitwear designer based in London. She recently graduated with an MA from London College of Fashion with this amazing collection which she entitles ‘Prozac Nation’

Each dress refers to a particular state of Elizabeth’s mind, and together they visualize the process of her reinvention in form of shape, colour and texture.

I love the thick mohair knits and folds she has used throughout the collection. It all seems to perfectly drape across the models.

I’m having a bit of a hard time searching for her website/myspace to get some nice shots of the whole collection. I’m sure these few will do a good job on giving you an idea. (After the jump)
